I was pondering recently what it was that held me back for so long and I discovered it was my VOICE. For so long, I didn’t have confidence in my voice; I didn’t trust what I believed; I didn’t have the courage to stand up for myself.

This resulted in a lot of internal conflict that looked like staying in misaligned jobs and unsatisfying relationships for far too long and much unnecessary suffering.

Funnily enough, I didn’t realize that and sought support around clarity in my career path when not owning my voice was directly contributing to the career confusion in the first place.

It wasn’t about the work I was meant to do – it was having the confidence to proclaim – this is who I am, this is what I believe, and this is what I stand for.

What I didn’t see then that I see now is that I needed to stop working to fix myself all the time and instead reclaim my voice and arrive!

Had I done that, I would’ve stopped feeling ignored because I would have spoken up instead of allowing my ideas to be so easily dismissed. I would have asked for what I wanted instead of being the people pleaser all the time. I would have learned to say no without feeling bad. I would have engaged in challenging discussions and held my own without getting triggered or defensive.

It’s funny, isn’t it?

It always comes back to the simple things and we so easily dismiss them as unimportant on our quest for something greater yet you can’t reach something higher if you haven’t taken the time to build a strong foundation.

That is why I decided to refine my upcoming group program to focus on owning your voice as that is the key to success in every area of your life and an area that causes a lot of struggle.
