It’s You Without the Scripted Mask… 😳

Maybe, like me, you were taught – just be you, be authentic and sales will be good.
.
Of course, I wanted that, I mean who doesn’t, right? 😊
.
Well, the intention is good but the issue is it is much deeper than just be you.
.
Why?
.
It’s not as easy as it sounds.
.
How can you do you when you’re not sure who you are or that you even like yourself sometimes? ☹️
.
When I was first growing my business, I was trying to find my way, my gifts, and my process and found many programs and coaches, while they meant well, just left me more confused.
.
When I wasn’t making sales, the self-doubt kicked in which led me to not like myself all that much (oh the judgment we place on ourselves!), and that just made things worse. 😕
.
What happened then is I followed my coaches’ formula thinking I could make it my own. (Because in insecurity, we naturally crave the structure of someone else’s system.)

When I showed up in business – in my posts and videos – something felt off. My prospective clients picked up on it – that inauthenticity – so they scrolled on by.

And deep down I felt it too – a bit like a fraud since it wasn’t MY system I was using. And when it’s not YOUR system, you are much less effective.

Where does this come from?

Let’s dig into the psychology behind this, shall we? 😉 because it’s important to understand WHY.

There is a layer of how you think you “should” look and show up and what you think you “should” say and what is acceptable to share. (We all have a deep desire to belong.)

We’re all hiding parts of ourselves and sometimes we don’t even know it (this often comes from our core wounding) and this keeps us stuck below where we crave to be in our businesses and relationships.

Why is that?

Removing the Scripted Mask and allowing who you truly are to come through can be scary because it serves as a source of protection.

You see the subconscious mind is easily triggered by BOTH success and failure. 😳

It is really good at keeping you exactly where you are – below your highest expressions of power, wealth, health, and happiness.
