What are you longing for or craving? We often associate cravings with food and drink- and it’s usually tied to something that we have been told is not good for us.
What if we looked at cravings differently? What if we could see them as guides back to our true selves? What might we discover there?
Do you slow down long enough to know what it is you truly want? Our society thrives on busy-ness. How often do you hear, I’m so busy, throughout the day? Many people wear it like a badge of honor, as if the more you do, the more you are worth.
I beg to differ. We are not only as valuable as what we accomplish. We are valuable in our being who we truly are. I don’t believe we are very effective when we are doing a million things. I think we actually get MORE done when we do LESS. When we slow down long enough to assess what it is we truly desire, we find there is less involved than we thought.
It comes down to clarifying your mission. How do you most want to contribute your time and energy and why? Do you want your art to add more beauty to the world? Your music to help people connect with their feelings? Your program to solve a problem?
I’ve said this before but it is worth saying again – we are all uniquely wired with particular gifts, talents, skills, strengths, and interests. We get to decide how we want to use them. We get to choose what legacy we want to leave. No one is you and will do what you do exactly like you do.
When you allow yourself to tap into what it is you desire throughout the day, you honor your unique design. You are connecting to your intuition and the more you trust that intuition, the more you will be guided to exactly where you need to go and exactly what you need to do.
If you are feeling pulled to go outside, please go outside. If it’s to dance or draw or design or write or speak or play or rest or reach out to someone or explore a new topic or check out a new shop or café – do it. Trust you are being guided there for a reason and just go.
We live in an era of distraction, which makes connecting to yourself and your intuition challenging. We have a choice in this, as always. When you notice you are reaching for an activity to distract yourself, pause and ask yourself, what do I really want right now? Be willing to listen and honor whatever comes up. Do this often. This will help strengthen your trust in yourself.
When you are tuned into yourself and your desires, you elevate your consciousness. In this space, you not only attract even more of what you want, you also open yourself up to receive – time, money, energy, inspiration, love, connection, and on and on.
What do you really want today? What can you do to allow this into your life?
Sending you the time and space for all that you desire,
Kori
