“Never continue in a job you don’t enjoy. If you’re happy in what you’re doing, you’ll like yourself, you’ll have inner peace. And if you have that, along with physical health, you will have had more success than you could possibly have imagined.”

Johnny Carson

I am on a mission to help people do their ‘right’ work – the work they are called to do, the work that they can’t not do.  We are wired to create, build, contribute, protect, teach, serve. What we choose to do with our days here on earth matters. How we choose to show up each day in the world matters. When we give up on our dreams or give our power away, we suffer. When we do mind and soul-numbing work, we are denying our true nature. Our true nature wants to be expressed. How we express this is our contribution to the world.

I think it is wonderful that we are all wired differently, that some of us are meant to perform, others to write. Some of us are meant to build, others to teach, others to heal the sick, others to care for the poor, others to design. The list goes on. We need everyone’s gifts – the analyst, the artist, the laborer, the healer, the protector, the teacher, the athlete, the performer – we can’t be all of these. And isn’t that great? We can refine our gifts and reach out to others for their gifts. How fortunate that we have such incredible resources in the form of each individual’s strengths and skills.

To what areas are you naturally drawn? What could you spend hours researching and reading about? What topics do you love discussing? How are you using this natural curiosity in your life? Does it come out in your work?

Have you been hiding or denying your gifts? If so, why? What fears are preventing you from sharing these gifts with the world? Where could you practice more courage in this area?

I think we are inclined to wonder what we are here to do. I believe work makes up a big part of that. It is how we spend over a third of our days and much of our life. When we do work that is aligned with our unique talents, gifts, strengths, interests, and skills, we not only contribute something great to the world, we also have a deep sense of purpose and contentment. That is worth its weight in gold.

I want more people to be engaged in work they care about, that uses their unique wiring and that is a natural expression of who they are. I care deeply about this because I felt the restlessness, the discontent, the longing to be doing something meaningful for many years. I want to help people spend less time in that place of doubt and uncertainty and more time being clear about the work that lights them up and doing that work.

Imagine what the world would be like if we were all engaged in work we found meaningful, interesting, and engaging that used our unique gifts, skills, strengths, and talents. It would be incredible. That is the vision I hold and work toward.

If you are tired of trying to figure it out and sick of doing work that is no longer fulfilling, I’m offering a special for December. Gift yourself a session with me for $54 and start to break through to the work you are called to do. Get clear on what that work is, what’s getting in the way, and make a plan to make that work a reality. Click here to schedule your session.

Wishing you the work that you are meant for,

Kori
