.

And everything to gainโ€ฆ

.

.

To thine ownself be true.

  • From Polonius in Hamlet, William Shakespeare

.

We have heard this line a million times and it would seem easy to do yet many, if not most, of us struggle with this at various times in our lives.

.

You see, we are constantly growing and evolving. How you saw yourself 10 or 20 years ago is not who you are now. How you see yourself now is not who you will be in 10 or 20 years in the future.

.

There are, however, core traits, values, and gifts that serve as your truth as you become more of who you are meant to be. ๐Ÿ‘‘

.

You can see this as you look back at your path.

.

This is what it has looked like for me:

.

I am created for adventure and to be free. That is why the multiple months of solo travel and the studying, living and working abroad. That is why the trail running. That is why the entrepreneurship.

.

I love exploration, experimentation, and creation. That’s why the different courses and programs and the research and reading and the refinement of my work, process, and program.

.

I love sharing what I have learned. That’s why the teaching, training, coaching, writing, and presentations.

.

I know the pain of disconnection. That’s why the drive to help others.

.

What do you see about your traits, values, and gifts that have been driving your path?

.

In what stages did you dismiss or suppress them?

.

While who we truly are is always there in our soul, we can get disconnected from that and end up chasing someone else’s dream or get caught up seeking external validation which might impress friends and family but leaves us feeling empty inside.

.

This happens when we serve the head over the heart.

.

The truth is they can work together but that requires discipline. And, that requires uncovering, connecting to, and being led by our greater purpose.

.

Purpose doesn’t require proving. It is not a measure of our worth. It is an expression of who we are, what we love, and what we are here to create, do, and experience.

.

Purpose is the deeper drive to create impact, change, and a legacy.

.

Purpose is the long game not chasing shiny objects for the quick win.

.

When you lead with purpose in your business, you cultivate inner security, deep-rooted confidence, resilience, and the drive to keep going no matter what challenges you face.

.

This also impacts your message and infuses your marketing with courage and conviction in what you are here to share.

.

That is what makes you stand out from the deluge of messages swimming around in the world every day. And, what makes your soul mate client know she must work with you.

.
