What’s new in your world this week? What have you done differently this week?

Where are you feeling stuck? What is keeping you there? Procrastination? Perfectionism? Overwhelm? Uncertainty? Analysis Paralysis? These are all different ways that fear keeps us in our ‘place.’

Once we decide this ‘place’ no longer works for us, we have to become comfortable with discomfort.

Getting out of our comfort zone requires discomfort. The thing is we make it into a monster when in reality, the discomfort passes quickly once we finally do the thing we’ve been afraid to do.

Again, it’s simple but not always easy.

For me, where I work most to get out of my comfort zone is in my business. In other areas of my life, getting out of my comfort zone is not as much work. I’ll push myself to try a new activity, perform on stage, teach a new course, travel abroad alone, move to another side of town or another country. In my business, I have to push myself. I have to rewire the circuits in my brain by consistently taking bold actions and noticing I don’t die. Even if I mess up or fail, I pushed through to a new level. I can take stock of the results, make adjustments, and try something different. I’m better for having pushed through, even if I didn’t get the result I wanted because not only did I learn from it, I’m also now in a new place.

Where have you experienced this in your life? Do you tend to be more courageous in some areas of your life and not others? In what area of your life do you tend to play it safe? How could you step out of your comfort zone in that area today?

I’d love to hear where in your life you are stepping up your game!

It starts with you. It starts right now.

What will you do to step out of your comfort zone today? Send me a reply – I’d love to hear!

Sending you courage,

Kori
