Last night I conducted a training on how to transform your money mindset. It was a small group, which was perfect because we had time to share, learn from each other, and hear different perspectives.

Each participant designed their unique daily money mindset practice and each made commitments to themselves and the group about their actions for the next day.

There is power in a group committed to growth and personal evolution.

At the end of the workshop, I shared one of my favorite quotes from the book, The Science of Getting Rich.

“You want to get rich in order that you may eat, drink, and be merry when it is time to do these things; in order that you may surround yourself with beautiful things, see distant lands, feed your mind, and develop your intellect; in order that you may love men and do kind things, and be able to play a good part in helping the world find truth.”

What a beautiful declaration.

Most of us connect to a deeper purpose when we desire prosperity. We want our gifts to serve others on a grander scale, we want to expand our experience of life, we want to remove all our self-imposed limitations. Not a single person in that room wanted wealth to abuse power or for manipulation or social validation or fame. Each had a deep knowing that they were meant to live a fuller life.

When you shift your mindset around money and wealth, you start to see money as a tool that gives you access to many things – education, travel, new experiences, different foods, comfort, security, and more. All of these things enrich your experience of life.

You are meant to live fully, to express yourself freely, and to impact others in a way that only you can. When you are trapped in limiting beliefs around money, you inhibit your power. You stay small. You only advance so far and then you drop back to your previous level of income. In order to have a different experience with money, you have to not only change your mindset, you also have to start being different. Once you change how you see yourself and the actions you take, your world changes. It doesn’t change BECAUSE you are wealthy, it changes because you change how you are being and what you are believing about wealth. YOU must change first. You must see yourself as already wealthy (because you actually are in many areas of your life) before you experience wealth in the form of physical money. It can be tricky.

Humans are conditional beings. They often declare they will be happy or successful when …..

But the opposite is true. Once you decide to be happy and successful right where you are, THEN the wealth and success will come to you. It requires unwavering faith, dedication, and a deep connection to your vision of the difference you want to make in the world.

If you want a different experience of life, you have to create a different experience. It starts within. Your outer world is a reflection of your inner world. Once you transform your internal state, your external reality will reflect that. It takes work but as I’ve said before, the work is worth it and so are you.
