Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.

– Leonardo da Vinci

As the holidays draw near and the end of the year approaches, we have a tendency to get overwhelmed, which usually means we are making things more difficult than they need to be.

I’ve been delving into the work of the ultimate life-hacker, Tim Ferriss. One of my favorite questions comes from his work – ‘What would it look like if it were easy?’

We tend to overcomplicate things when they really don’t need to be so complicated.

So as you think about the holiday weekend ahead and even as you ponder the coming new year, pause to consider what it would look like if it were easy. What would your work life look like? Your personal life?

As you come up with some answers, think to yourself – ‘If the answer isn’t simple, it probably isn’t the right answer,’ to quote Tim Ferriss again.

Keep it simple. This doesn’t mean you don’t have an incredible vision for your life or that you’re settling, it means you aim for the path of least resistance that will give you the most return on your investment (of time, energy, and money).

So what can you simplify today? What would your day look like (work, exercise, events, activities, relationships) if it were easy?

We don’t earn prizes for taking the most challenging and difficult route. What matters is that we get our gifts into the world. What would be the easiest way for you to do that?

Wishing you holidays filled with ease,

Kori
